The Far East - the Birthplace of the Modern Garden Rose
Although rose growing enjoured high popularity in the gardens of Europe for many hundreds of years, it was not until the end of the eighteenth century, with the discovery of R. chinensis in China , that a major step forward was achieved. The revolutionary characteristic of this rose is its ability to flower repeatedly from early summer to late autumn.

Learn From Disappointments

Target the top article directories and go for a few quality links instead of hundreds of low-quality links. In other words, hit the top article directories and devote the rest of your time on the next couple of steps.
Find themed article directories / content sites that are related to the niche that your article addresses. For example, if you write about CSS, you would be looking for directories and websites that accept content on website development and more directly, website programming.
Use articles as link building tools - find high-ranking sites related to yours and instead of simply asking for links, pitch your article to them as an offer to their readers. If your article is engaging, fresh and unique, most websites will gladly publish it on their websites (or at least give you a reference link), leading to increased traffic as well as link popularity. There are a few more things that you can do to make sure you came out ahead of the search engines’ spam filters:
Avoiding Duplicate Content Penalties
Ideally, you shouldn’t publish articles that you submit on your own website – this “may” help you avoid the duplicate content penalty a bit. 7 Marketing Lessons We Can Learn From TV Infomercials
I hate to share this, but I love watching infomercials. And I've ordered more than once from them! Everything from weight loss products to cell phone accessory's.
When pressed, my friends admit the same. If you sniff around most people's homes, you'll find something ordered from an infomercial, whether it's the Ronco Rotisserie or Victoria Principal's skincare.
You may think of these often annoying programs as "trash TV", but think again. Did you realize that they use many of the exact same strategies that we should?
Now, I don't mean you need to scream at your customers or flash "$19.95" in blinking digits on your website! Those are gimmicks.
But what most people don't realize is that many of the strategies that sell the kitchen doohickey gadget are the same ones that can also sell your products and programs.
Here are 7 of my favorites:
1. They grab your attention.
Infomercials air on the most challenging medium there is out there: television. You're just a second away from your prospect clicking their remote to the next channel. So they do their best to get your attention right away and KEEP it for as long as possible.
That's why infomercials give bold statements and emphasize how this doohickey will change your life. You should do this too -- stop beating around the bush and make it clear to your prospects how your products and services will change *their* lives!
2. They give tons of real-life testimonials.
You'll see that TV infomercials have evolved greatly since years ago. It used to be one or two people talking to a camera for the entire time. These days most typical 30 minute spots are over 80% customer testimonials! And that's for good reason... they are the hands-down BEST way to gain instant credibility.
A great example is for one of those home exercise machines. I noticed years ago they just showed the super-ripped guy using it on the infomercial. Now they show that guy, PLUS dozens of before and after testimonials from real-life guys with beer bellies and real jobs who used the product with success. That was a great move on their part, because c'mon, we never really believed that super-ripped guy looked like that from using it just 30 minutes, 3 times a week!
3. They use personalities.
The most successful infomercials now use celebrity guest hosts. They know this gets people's attention more than practically anything out there. Pro Activ uses Jessica Simpson. Youthful Essence (a skincare product women love) uses Susan Lucci. Even NutriSystem is now using Dan Marino in their commercials to target men.
You can do the same in your marketing. You can either hire a star, or even better, make YOURSELF the celebrity... by sharing stories, being personal, and having fun with your market.
4. They give an irresistible offer.
It's rare these days to see an infomercial asking for you to pay for something in full. You'll mostly see things like "3 payments of $19.95" or "4 payments of $39.95". Why? Cash-crunched Americans are always more concerned about cash flow than the total price. They'll even happily pay much MORE in the end in order to gain a lower monthly payment!
You can do the same. Offer a payment plan for your products, courses, workshops, and coaching. You'll be AMAZED at the increased response, and it's easy to do with marketing-savvy shopping cart systems.
5. They give a strong call-to-action NOW.
These folks know that as soon as you change the channel, you're going to forget about their product. So they make it very urgent that you pick up the phone and call them now or visit their website and order. They usually say something like "If you call in the next 10 minutes you also get..." and they list a few great bonuses.
This isn't just specific to TV. Everyone would rather put off ANY decision these days, we're all so busy and overwhelmed! So you need to give people a good REASON to act now, whether it's a discount that expires, a payment plan that expires, a limited number of products or seats, a special bonus... you get the idea.
6. They sell on continuity.
What's "continuity"? It's when you make ONE sale that results in multiple charges over and over. For example, because my Wife Rosie's friends have been raving about I.D. Bare Minerals natural makeup, she recently ordered a kit from their infomercial. Now, every 2 months, she receive a fresh supply in the mail, and my card is charged again. She love's it because she doesn't have to remember to reorder. They love it because they only had to make ONE sale, and how they've got me as a customer forever until I cancel!
Hear me now... continuity will change your life! Consider how you can use this principle in your business. Could you convert some of your current offerings into a monthly membership? 3 Success Principles That Have Reshaped My Business
Over the past 15 years I've immersed myself in learning. Because my business is marketing, I have attended many and spoken at marketing seminars when I was younger. But I also make plenty of time to read books, attend seminars, and listen to audio programs on personal development as well.
Why?
You should actually work harder on yourself than you do on your business (or job). I first learned that from Jim Rohn, whom some call the father of personal development. Some call him America's foremost business philosopher. I just call him brilliant. (Jim was one of Tony Robbins' first mentors, too.)
There are three success principles I've learned over the years that I wanted to share with you. I call them my "a-has" because they put my attention on areas I'd never thought of. And following these guidelines has helped me skyrocket my business.
1. You are the average of the five PEOPLE you hang around the most.
When I first heard this quote from Jim, it struck a big nerve in me. Robert Allen says something similar, that your bank account balance is typically the average of the five people you hang around the most. (Yikes!)
I realized I needed to surround myself with people whom I wanted to be like. I still love my old friends, but I make a specific effort to be around people who take risks, think big, and talk about great ideas instead of the latest celebrity gossip, the price of gas, or how much they hate their clients.
What first opened up my circle of influence was attending seminars. I continually go to seminars on marketing, business, and personal development. There are so many great seminars going on every month all around the country, at all price points. You have no excuse not to get out there and meet people who are playing big!
2. Your HABITS create your future (and your fortune).
I like to talk a lot about this. Your daily habits create your long-term results. Your habits today will determine your outcomes tomorrow. If you want to be a millionaire, you've got to have millionaire habits. If you want to be a great leader, you must have the habits of a great leader. If you want to get in shape, you've got to have the habits of a fit person.
What new habit can YOU put into place right away?
I wanted to put into place a millionaire habit. Because I detest budgets (and enjoy spending), I needed an easy way to save money. So now I have a set percentage of my inflow automatically go into a savings account that I don't touch.
3. Make sure your ENVIRONMENT supports you in playing big.
A few years ago I had the chance to hear a dynamic woman named Artemis Limpert speak. In her talk, she pointed out that when you have a pet fish that's sick, you treat the water -- NOT the fish.
Your success depends more on your environment than you know, but it's extremely important that you give yourself an environment that supports you at the level you want to BE at. (Note that I did NOT say the level you are at now!)
There are 3 areas of your environment you should pay close attention to:
First, your physical environment. Do you love your office? Do you have enough space to work and plan? Are you surrounded by attractive things? Do you have a nice view or at least a beautiful piece of art to look at? I paid a pretty penny for my condo, but I can't tell you how inspiring it is every day to look out at the all the golfers or take a short walk or drive to my peaceful ocean, sailboats, blue sky, and the sand. It fuels me.
But you don't have to spend a lot of money on your environment. Little touches like candles, flowers, music you love, and photos of friends and family can go a long way. (Even if your office is the kitchen table!)
Second, your emotional environment. Are you getting the support you need from your family and friends? It's up to YOU to ask for what you need.
If they cannot provide it, find a Mentor or coach, a mastermind, or a support group. I find it wonderful to have our Fast Track mastermind group for support. I can bounce ideas off them, ask for help with problem solving, share my victories, and sometimes just vent!
Third, your intellectual environment. Jim Rohn says, "Are you feeding your brain protein every day, or are you just giving it candy?" Most Americans sustain their brains solely on candy - that is, useless television shows, news, and gossip. Are you stimulating yourself with big ideas and new learning? Again, check out a seminar, take a Veretekk class, or buy some books or audio programs. (I love listening to programs on CD or iPod, so I can learn while taking a walk or driving my car or relaxing on a plane.)
REMEMBER, "THE MORE YOU LEARN THE MORE YOU LEARN"
Remember - 97% of the people marketing today are full of excuses and live their lives thru tragedy and self created disappointment!

Procrastination Marketing -- It Actually Works!
I'm guessing that right now there are several marketing tasks you've been putting off. Perhaps it's revamping your website. Or sending out your first e-zine. Or getting listed in the search engines. Or putting together a media kit.
So why haven't you done it?
Believe me, this is a battle I fight with myself too. But you know what I realized?
Procrastination is NOT evil!
Instead of seeing procrastination as a terrible thing, I now see it as a tool that helps me learn how I work best.
In fact, I've arrived at six different reasons why we all seem to procrastinate. Here they are, along with what you can learn from (and do for) each.
Reason 1: You are procrastinating because you don't enjoy the entire task or job.
Solution: One of my Mentors told me several years ago that if I didn't like doing something, I should "delete it, delegate it, or automate it." What a great way to look at things! I'm a big fan of ONLY doing tasks I enjoy or am good at. The rest I outsource to people who are good at it and/or enjoy it.
Reason 2: You are procrastinating because you don't enjoy a PART of the entire task or job.
Solution: If you're putting off a whole project just because there's one part you don't want to do, figure out how you can get away without doing that part. Again, delete it, delegate it, or automate it.
Reason 3: You are procrastinating because you don't know how to handle the task or job.
Solution: The answer will not drop in your lap. Get help -- a Mentor to teach you how, a book or home study course to show you how, or even better, outsource it to someone who can just do it for you.
Reason 4: You are procrastinating because you simply can't find the time.
Solution: Schedule future time to do it, or get rid of other tasks to create the time you need. If you still can't do this, then you need to find someone to do it for you.
Reason 5: You are procrastinating because you feel stuck.
Solution: You may just need to get momentum going. Give yourself permission to do just one small part of the project only. Or do the easiest part first. (That's how I started putting together my entire Mentoring course.) This usually creates momentum, and you end up doing a lot more than you intended to!
Reason 6: You are procrastinating because you don't really want to do what you thought you should do.
Solution: This means you may have the wrong objective or strategy in the first place! Is this something you really want to do, or do you just think you SHOULD do it? Or is it an old goal that doesn't fit you or your business anymore? Your answer may surprise you. Let the goal go for awhile and see what happens. : )
Start Paying Attention!
Once you start paying attention to which activities you put off regularly, you'll know sooner when to be stricter with yourself or find help to get those tasks accomplished in a more timely manner.
So take a minute and make your list right now of what marketing tasks you've been putting off! Don't beat yourself up about it, just make a note and figure out how to get them done. (Or delete them and find an alternative to help you reach the same goal.)

It`s an old, old saying, but it`s true: you only have one chance to make a good first impression. And in email, the first impression is always visual -- a consumer LOOKS/SEES before he/she READS.
Imagine walking by a grotesquely garish storefront with all kinds of things hanging off the front porch, every floor painted a different color, and odd music playing through loudspeakers. Would you want to walk in the front door? No way! You`d assume that the owner is a kook, at best, or a deranged axe murderer, at worst.
Did you ever have an ugly looking email land in your mailbox? You know what I`m talking about: an orange background and yellow borders, multi-colored text in all sizes from gigantic to microscopic, a message that looks like it was created by a crazed six-year-old? If you did, I bet you didn`t feel the urge to read it. You probably just wanted to delete it as quickly as possible.
=> PUT OUT THE WELCOME MAT
You want your email message to be friendly and inviting, not bizarre and scary. The suggestions below -- and they`re just suggestions, not hard and fast rules -- will go a long way towards making recipients` eyes say "come on in!" to your message.
=> DO`s and DON`Ts FOR ATTRACTIVE EMAILS
-DON`T use COLOR fonts in your message. (Leave that to junior high girls who want to write about Britney and Justin)
-DO use BLACK TEXT ON A WHITE BACKGROUND. (When you`re "speaking" in black-and-white, people will give their full attention to your message without being distracted by your color scheme.)
-DON`T use UNCOMMON FONTS. (If someone`s system doesn`t recognize the font you`ve selected, they could see gibberish
instead of your brilliant message).
-DO use the email marketers` FAVORITE FONTS: Arial, Times New Roman, and Courier New
And please.
-DON`T use flashing buttons or banners in your email! (Your prospects have undoubtedly gotten their fill of "bells and whistles" when they`ve surfed the Internet. They don`t need more from you.)
=> GET HYPER" WITH EMAIL HYPERLINKS
An "email hyperlink" is just techno-talk for a link in your email to a website, or email address. Sounds simple enough, and it is -- unless you try to contact a prospect on AOL who may not be able to receive "clickable" links.
Don`t worry. There`s a "Fix" for this: simply type mailto: in front of your email address (no space in between, and include the : )
For a link to a web page, you need to write your link this way: < a href=http://www.leadgeneration.24ex.com/ >
http://www.leadgeneration.24ex.com/ </a>. .
(And tell your recipient they can copy and paste this link into their browser if it`s not highlighted.)
=> ALWAYS USE SIGNATURE TAGS
Today, it`s common practice on the Internet to tell people about your product or service with a SIGNATURE TAG, which is 3-6 lines of text (usually) that is automatically added to every message you send.
If you`d like to add a tag to your messages, simply open your email program. Find the SIGNATURES TAB (located in the TOOLS/OPTIONS menu in Outlook Express). Follow the (simple) instructions for creating a sig file. Easy as pie...and the results
will amaze you.

In today`s newsletter, you`re going to learn THE BASICS OF EMAIL MARKETING.
Now I know what you`re thinking: Basics don`t sound very exciting or "empowering." But the basics are the foundation upon which everything else is built. Miss these and you may end up spinning your wheels for the next 12 months.
(Wouldn`t you rather be spinning stories about how you made your first million?)
So find a comfortable spot, put up your feet and let`s get ready to rumble!
Essential Rules For Effective Email Marketing
If you want an email campaign to succeed, you don`t want to offend anyone when sending your messages. Turn off a consumer with your email and you can be sure they`ll tune out your message. Don`t let this happen to you!
A message that earns respect makes sales. That`s why our first topic for discussion is email etiquette. (Later in the course, we`ll talk more about how to write an email sales letter.)
Train yourself to always -- and I mean ALWAYS -- stick to the rules below when crafting your email message.
=> RULE #1 - ALWAYS WRAP YOUR LINES AT 65 CHARACTERS OR LESS
Whenever you write an email, always format the lines so that they`re 65 characters, or less, across. To do this, you may need to do a "hard return" by hitting "Enter" at the end of the line.
Wondering why to limit your lines to just 65 characters?
(Good question! It shows you`re thinking.) There are two reasons that "less is more"
-- The first thing to remember is that looking at a computer screen for a long time causes EYE FATIGUE for many readers.
The shorter span of characters across the screen makes reading easier and more appealing to the recipient of your email message.
-- The other reason to go short instead of long is this: some email clients AUTOMATICALLY ENFORCE LINE-WRAPPING at 60-65 characters on received messages. If your email is wrapped at 70, the content will arrive all "chopped up."
This makes it unattractive...and worse -- unappealing.
-- Tip within a Rule #1: Email clients such as Outlook Express allow you to SET THE LINE-WRAP to any character-width you choose. That means you won`t have to hit enter each time after typing 65 characters. Makes life easier!
-- Tip within a Rule #2 - You can type 65 asterisks or dashes in a Notepad file to create a template. Then paste your email below it to see if any lines extend too far to the right.
=> RULE # 2 - BE CAREFUL USING ALL CAPS
How many times have you changed the TV channel to avoid listening to a screaming car salesperson? No one likes a screaming salesperson...and no one likes a "screaming" email message, either. Odds are, when someone has over-amped the volume of their message by using too many capital letters (not to mention too many exclamation points and other punctuation) - you`re going to be turned off.
On the Internet, email messages written in all caps are considered yelling. It`s okay to write some sentences and some words in all caps, but don`t go overboard. (As you can see in this message, I`ve tried to use capital letters to help break up sections of the content from time to time)
-- Tip within a Rule: Consumers buy from a source they trust. Emails in all caps are perceived as "shady" or uneducated, and have an appearance that damages the credibility of an offer.
=> RULE #3 - WATCH YOUR Ps & Qs (Spelling and Grammar) Would you be influenced by an email selling you something that had noticeable spelling and grammar mistakes? Sure you would...and the influence would be negative, not positive!
When a consumer reads a sales message that`s filled with errors, they think to themselves, "Good grief, this person doesn`t even take the time to get his emails right. His product is probably the same quality as his emails."
When you`re in business, YOUR IMAGE IS YOUR REPUTATION and your reputation is the reason people buy from you or the guy down the block. It`s essential that you create an image of INTEGRITY, CREDIBILITY, and HONESTY in the mind of your prospects. Sending emails filled with errors doesn`t hurt your professional image...it destroys it. (Ouch!)

Myth: If You Just Think Positively, You Will Succeed!

Is this not the MOST annoying and brainless statement you’ve ever heard, especially if you haven’t a clue how to launch your business into orbit?
The idea that positive thinking will solve ALL your business problems has to be one of the most damaging “messing with your brain” lies yet.
Get this: the reason this lie is so powerful is because they can always get away with it!
It’s the perfect scapegoat. As long as you believe in this flimflam they don’t have to know what they’re talking about, or give you any real concrete answers. How’s that for brilliant?
That’s why uplines, downlines, and crosslines use this stopgap.
Because the truth is, they haven’t a clue why most people in their business aren’t making it.
Millions have been given this magnificent “half-truth” bit of knowledge and really haven’t seen much of a change.
So what are you supposed to do?
**Risk life and limb driving everywhere with earphones stuck in your head, packing your brain with the content of every motivational CD you can get your hands on. If it doesn’t put you to sleep or distract you into a fender-bender, maybe you’ll even retain a morsel or two of it.
**Decorate your home with fluorescent post-it notes stuck on everything from the living room lamps to your bathroom mirror, scribbled with motivational quotes and “verging on desperate” declarations of your goals to “motivate” you. Your family may be confused, but hey…maybe
it’ll work.
**Attend every rah-rah session within 100 miles of your home and spend enormous amounts on gas and hotel bills – this will have you pumped uplike the Goodyear Blimp and raring to go for the next week…at least until you get to the parking lot.
Hold on a just a stinkin’ minute!
Does this make any sense? Is this one thing going to get your business on the right track for success?
Of course not!
Listen, we are ALL for the power of your mind helping fuel your success.
It’s hugely important, and the lack of the right mindset can definitely keep you from achieving your full potential.
But it must be joined with ACTION! The unrelenting application of repeatable, sustainable, and effective action is key.

Case in point: Remember the recent hysteria about the launch of the iPhone?
Apple is about as smart and savvy as it gets. But they certainly didn’t depend on throwing some iPhones out on a table and waiting for the world to figure it all out.
They launched a virtual blizzard of marketing strategies, specifically designed and implemented to get their crowd worked into a “camping out for days in advance” FRENZY to get their mitts on an iPhone.
Nothing accidental about it--nothing left to chance. Super gorgeous, fun and innovative product, that most definitely and absolutely did NOT sell itself.
So consider this…do you seriously think ANY product you have will magically draw a feverish herd of buyers?
That’s just silly.
Yet somewhere along the line, the thinking that simply buying into a product was enough to make you successful has latched onto the collective minds of network marketers.

How Did This Happen?

It’s like this…
Just over 60 years ago Network Marketing was introduced to the world and things haven’t been the same since.
Folks with “employee” mentalities, and absolutely no business experience, were suddenly in business, literally overnight sometimes.
One day they were a teacher, mechanic, or secretary, the next day, an Entrepreneur.
These clueless souls were told they’d be making more money than their boss, their parents, their doctor--more money than they’d ever seen in their lives! And, the really “magical” part was, they didn’t have to do anything but “show their friends and families, because this THING (whatever it was) would sell itself!”
And maybe that even worked for a few times, or a few months…but eventually (as you may have already discovered) things fizzle out.
There is no foundation, no LEGS, under this kind of approach to building a business. Pretty soon, you’re on the scrap heap of failure, thinking you just weren’t cut out to be in business for yourself.
It’s the same B.S. today as it was then.
The “follow me clones” rinse and repeat this stuff, because that’s what they were told so it has to be true. And on it goes, creating a kind of historical subculture and twisted expectation about how this all should work.
The upline tells the downline. The downline tells their prospects. Their prospects tell their friends. Everyone is excited about how much money they’re going to make, with very little effort and absolutely NO understanding of how marketing works in the real world.
It snowballs--taking on a life of it’s own and growing bigger every day.
And the next thing you know this “snowball” becomes an avalanche of disappointment that has you running for your life, trying to keep your hopes and dreams from being buried alive.

IBM pension freeze has ripple effect, More companies refuse to bear burden for retirement
This month might mark the moment when workers in
America finally accept the idea that PENSIONS are on there way out as reported
by Gannett News Service today. Jim

states, this is getting really scary for the average baby
boomer.
IBM Corp. a large and profitable American company
whose reputation for providing blue-chip benefits was once legend, froze all
pension plans as of January 1, 2008, saying the change would save the company $3
Billion by 2010.
"Save the Company" not the American worker. The
American worker has to claim there own Prosperity.
We have seen it time and time again. Healthy
companies such as General Motors, Verizon and Lockheed-Martin has
retirement experts predicting the era of the pension will soon be over for up to
three-quarters of the roughly 21 million workers enrolled in such
plans.

Try It Out First
You’re starting a home business. Before you go any further and start investing your time and cash it's a good idea to test things out on a small scale.
Here are some things you can do.
No matter weather you plan to sell physical things, or your starting a website build a prototype. A prototype is a small version of your product that you build quickly to prove your idea is feasible. Show your prototype to a few people to see what they think. If you get a good response then you know you have a winner.
If you are providing a product or service why not test it out on a few customers. Give them a free try or a big discount to make sure that everything runs smoothly and the customers are satisfied and happy with your product.
And don't forget to do some kind of survey to find out exactly what your customer thinks of your service. You could hand it to the customer, include it with your product, or call them up and say that you are just calling to make sure everything is went well.
So what ever you are planning remember it's a good idea to test it out on a small scale before you hit the big time. Trying it out gives you the opportunity to build confidence in yourself and your business without making big costly mistakes.
Remember, it's YOUR responsibility
With responsibility comes control. The things for which you are willing to accept the most responsibility are the things over which you are able to exercise the most control.

Let me ask you a question. Do You Have Marketing Plan?
Marketing is the real back bone of your business. Don't you think that it is important enough to need a plan, completely separate from your basic business plan? After all with out a plan how will you know where you are going. Let's go over the basic information that your marketing plan should include.
First you need a marketing strategy and a budget. It is a good idea to get the basics of your marketing plan written down, so that you can see exactly what you are aiming for. Start the process by making lists.
List of all the advertising you plan to do. Include websites, newspapers, radio, flyers, the yellow pages ect.
For each form of advertising you should assign an estimated cost. Determine how many customers you expect to reach. This will allow you to work out your cost of per customer, which is how much of you budget you need to spend on advertising to bring in one customer.
Next make a list all of the pricing policies you plan to have, as well as any special offers that you think will be good. Don't worry you can make price changes and new offers later, The idea here is to have some basic long term plans.
Another good idea is to have a list of other businesses that could be considered to be competitors. You need to know who you are up against and a good plan to differentiate yourself from them.

Do You Need Staff?
When your business grow large enough you may have to consider the fact that you can't do everything that needs to be done by yourself. You need to hire some help.
Did you know that employing people is like investing? You invest the cost of the wages and you get a return on your investment by getting more work done. If you stop getting a return on your investment then you need to start investing in someone else.
The first step in hiring a staff is to advertise. You shouldn't have too much trouble with this part, since there are always people looking for a good job. Look online, check out a few agencies or tell some people you know. Once you have a few takers you can start interviewing.
Remember when you start interviewing that you are looking for someone to not only make your life easier, you also want someone capable of increasing your bottom line. You don't want to spend a lot on your investment if you aren't going to get a good return.
Ask some basic questions so that you can get a feel for their personalities. You want to work with someone who is personable, competent and reliable. Start out simple.
- Tell me about yourself? The response to this simple question will give you a good idea about their personality what they think is important, as well as some insight to their ability .
- Why should I hire you? This will give you a good idea of how confident they are in their ability to do the job. Have them explain how they will meet your job requirements.
- Why did you leave your last job? This will give you a feel for how they view their past employers. This will also help you spot potential problems. If they use excuses or complaints then you may want to put them at the bottom of your pile.
As an employer you have the right to ask any questions that will help you find the right person for the job. Just remember by law, you can't ask as anything that could be thought of as discrimination, including questions related to age, race, religion, nationality, marital status, medical history or disability.
One last note. When you hire people, you need to remember that you have to pay taxes. You will more than likely have to pay their income taxes as well as medical insurance taxes. Make sure you check your local tax laws. Or better yet check with an accountant who can help you.

First, I wake up... usually while it's still dark outside... to the smell of fresh coffee. (I have one of those coffee makers with a timer that turns itself on and automatically brews a pot of java goodness for me.)
Then, I roll out of bed and stumble into the kitchen with my sidekick, my cat Missy.
I pour myself a cup of java in my lucky mug I got from my Granddaughters, head into my home office, and turn on my computer to check my emails with Missy lying on my lap.
That's it. It's simple, and it's been my morning ritual for YEARS.
But NOW, something shocking has happened...
Now up to this point, business had been good.
But this morning was the "tipping point" that propelled my business from good to *great*... and by great, I mean making money hand over fist!
And it was stupid easy.
A lot of people try and make this more complicated than it really is. But if you know the right strategies, it's actually VERY simple. And the best part? YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

When you start a home business it's easy to get carried away by all your new responsibilities like keeping your
customers happy, managing expenses building your business. All of this can be very stressful and most home business
owners simply ignore this and keep on going. But that is not always the best idea.
Many people get stressed out and upset a shortly after they start their own business and quit their day job. They
feel like they gave up their financial stability and start to regret the decision.
If this starts to happen to you the best thing you can do is step back and remember the reasons that you started
you business. Go over your business plans and reaffirm your ability to make your business a success. Remember you knew this
was going to be hard on you financially when you started so it's no excuse to call it quits.
One thing you can do is keep good records. Not knowing exactly what your financial situation is can be the
most stressful part of running your own home business. I know you might think you don't want to know, but when you leave it to
your imagination that is when things really start to get out of control. If you know exactly where you stand you will feel more control
over the situation. The simplest way to keep records for yourself is to use an accounting program like QuickBooks or even just a
simple spreadsheet.
Don't give in to the stress. When you feel stressed out your first thought may be to hide under the covers and
ignore whatever it is that is stressing you out. By hiding you will only make your situation worse. By facing it head on you will feel
stronger and more competent to make your business a success.
When you run a home business, you might have to make a few sacrifices or sell a few things to make it through
the tough times, but I guarantee you that you will find it is the most rewarding adventure of your life if you stick it out and

You’re starting a home business. Before you go any further and start investing your time and cash it's a
good idea to test things out on a small scale.
Here are some things you can do.
No matter weather you plan to sell physical things, or your starting a website build a prototype. A prototype is a
small version of your product that you build quickly to prove your idea is feasible. Show your prototype to a
few people to see what they think. If you get a good response then you know you have a winner.
If you are providing a product or service why not test it out on a few customers. Give them a free try or a big
discount to make sure that everything runs smoothly and the customers are satisfied and happy with your
product.
And don't forget to do some kind of survey to find out exactly what your customer thinks of your service. You
could hand it to the customer, include it with your product, or call them up and say that you are just calling to
make sure everything is went well.
So what ever you are planning remember it's a good idea to test it out on a small scale before you hit the big
time. Trying it out gives you the opportunity to build confidence in yourself and your business without
making big costly mistakes.

How Can I Use Affirmations to Attract Money and Material Possessions?"
So you desire to gain material things in life? Affirmations are usually effective in this respect - maybe even more
so than with other desires because material desires often come with stronger emotional attachments.
You'll recall that in my previous article, "Why Do Some Affirmations *Work* - and Others Don't?" I
emphasized that affirmations that are emotionally charged are the ones most likely to work. So when you are emotionally
connected to your desire for material things, you can use the power of affirmations to see how quickly your need is
manifested!
Power Affirmations for Attracting Money. If your desire is to have an abundance of money to fill your needs,
practice this affirmation: "I always have an abundance of money to meet all my needs." Repeat it several times, and
then stop affirming. Be silent while knowing, visualizing, and feeling how it is to already have the amount of money you desire. Feel
as though it has already happened, and that all your needs are more than satisfied. While in this state, hold yourself open to all the
ways and means by which you will have money flow into your life to meet your every need.
Following are other power affirmations for abundant supply. Choose the affirmations that feel appropriate to
you --those that resonate with you, or strike an emotional chord. It is important that the words feel comfortable to you and are in line
with who you are. Feel free to create one for your specific need by substituting other words that have special meaning to
you:
Affirmations of Abundant Supply:
* I am now open to receive.
* Life is easy; I have an abundance of whatever I need.
* I now have surplus, all my needs are being met.
* I have unlimited abundance.
* I now give and receive freely.
* This is a rich universe and there is plenty for all of us.
* I now live in a rich and loving universe.
* Money comes to me easily and effortlessly.
* I am always supplied with whatever I need.
* I move forward with an expectancy of my greatest good.
* I look for and receive a bountiful supply.
* My greatest good is coming to me NOW.
The last affirmation was a turning point for me personally.
TIP: How to Maintain the Emotional Charge of Your Affirmations
Most people who practice affirmations experience the challenge of maintaining the emotional charge of their
affirmations. That's because although the power of thought is amazingly strong, it remains strong for a short period of time. Its
quality changes and tends to diminish with each repetition.
For example: Suppose you recite an affirmation such as: "All my needs are met instantaneously."

Do you know if, You Need a License?
Did you know that there are many types of businesses that are strictly regulated and controlled by the
government?
I once knew a lady whose great idea was to make croutons from her house. Needless to say, that didn't last long
when the inspector heard about it.
If you think you've got an idea that’s going to make you big money, there might be a reason why
everyone else isn't doing it and that reason could be related to the law.
As I mentioned above if you are going to sell food, you will need to license and register for hygiene and safety
inspections. For many reasons most local government agencies are especially strict if you plan to handle food especially raw
meat. Food licenses aren't too hard to get provided you are willing to have your kitchen and products inspected at regular
intervals
An in home daycare will need a license. There are all sorts of courses to take and regular inspections to go
through. If you ever wonder why there’s a shortage of in home childcare providers it’s because it’s so hard
to keep up with the rules and make a profit.
Gambling is almost always strictly regulated. It might be fine to gamble privately with your friends
depending on where you live, but as soon as you start running it as a business you are on shaky ground. You'll also find that most
places have laws against lotteries. Applying for a license to turn your home into a gambling establishment is pretty sure to
fail.
You will need a license if you plan to serve alcohol. Getting an alcohol license for your home, unless it's for
some kind of special event and the drinking is just incidental is pretty much out of the question. Alcohol licenses are subject to
appeals from people who live near you. So unless your whole neighborhood is ok with it you may have trouble.
Anything medical will probably need a license. When I say medical, I mean doctors, dentists, opticians, and even
vets. You might think it is a great idea to turn your home into an animal hospital, but you need to be qualified and licensed. Of
course, if you've previously been a doctor, dentist, or whatever, then you shouldn't have too much trouble getting licensed to do
the same thing from home.
This list just covers some of the most common businesses that need licensing. The best idea is to check your
local laws and make sure your home business is properly licensed.

I'd like to tell you little about: How you can avoid home business scams.
If you're thinking of working from home you have to realize that at least 99% of the offers out there are scams. Now really if is so easy to pay a few dollars and make thousands, wouldn't everyone be doing it by now? Here are the biggest scams out there, how to recognize them, and how to avoid them.
First where did you see the "Big Money" work from home offer? If you received it in your email, saw a poster tacked to a bulletin board or one of those little signs on the side of the road then I can almost guarantee you that it’s not a legitimate offer. If you saw an ad in a newspaper, a job magazine or on a job website, then it’s more likely to be legitimate but not always. Remember always check out any offer, and assume it’s a scam until you have proof it's not.
Envelope Stuffing is one of the most established work from home scams. The way it works is once you pay your money and sign up to work from home, you are sent a set of envelopes and ads just like the one you responded to. Then you stuff your envelopes and pay to send them out. You could make some money if someone responds to your ad but the chances are slim. Don't waste your money on this one.
Home assemblers wanted. Charging for supplies is hard to pin down to any one scam it’s the way almost all work at home scams work. First you will be asked invest in the materials needed to do the work and then you will be sent very cheap materials that aren't worth anything like what you paid for them. Once the product is assembled you'll find that there’s no one who will buy it.
Quick tip: If anyone asks for money up front run away fast. A real company should be willing to deduct any ‘fees’ from your first paycheck. If they won't do that for you, then that’s because they don't ever plan to pay you.
A variation on the scam common with crafts is that you might be asked to work at home making clothes, ornaments or toys. Everything seems legitimate you've got the materials without paying out any money, and you're doing the work. Unfortunately for you, when you send the work back, the company will tell you that it didn't meet their ‘quality standards’, and will refuse to pay you. Never do craft work from home unless you're selling the items yourself.
Now let’s discuss home typing and medical billing scams. There are lots of work from home scams that will lead you to believe that they have more work than they can handle so they need people to work from home. What will happen? You will be told that you would be typing documents, or entering medical bills into a computer. These scams have one thing in common. They say all you need is your computer and then all you have to do is buy their special software to do the job.
This software might appear to be from a completely unrelated company, but don't be fooled. The whole reason the work from home ad was there to begin with was a sneaky way to sell you their software.
I hope this helps you see running a home business that involves you working for one company is a bad idea. You don't know whom you're dealing with. Remember even with entirely legal work at home offers that does pay you for your work, you still won't make near as much money as you can with your very own home business.
I'm sure you get bombarded daily just like I do with email offers that promise to make you rich beyond your wildest dreams. The trouble with the majority of those offers is that they are bogus. They may be good programs, but all too often they lack what would be great marketers really need - good training, coaching and personal mentoring.
A true wealth building system requires the personal touch. There is no such thing as an automated system that will do all the work for you. A good automated system is one that does the sorting for you. Sorting means separating the tire kickers from the serious business builders.
An honest wealth building system incorporates training, personal coaching and mentoring within the system. This requires a team of professional successful marketers who will teach YOU the art and science of building an internet business. You must have personal access to these successful people.
A legitimate wealth building system requires an investment. You simply cannot expect something from nothing. If you expect to make money from a system, you must expect to invest money.

Business definition for the
week:
Director. The people ultimately in charge of a company are
its directors. For a large company, there will be a board of directors,
appointed by the shareholders. For a home business, though, you can appoint
yourself as the sole director since you are also the sole shareholder Look for

Choosing a Name for Your
Business?
One of the most important things your business needs
is a name. Your name will be the very first thing that almost all of your
customers see.
You have to pick a name that says something about you
and your business that people in your target market will remember
easily.
A good basic idea is to use your last name followed
by what you do. Like Walton's Feed and Supply or Anderson's Plumbing. You could
also add the town where you live in to the name like Anderson's Little Rock
Plumbing.
You can also leave out your name and simply become
Little Rock Feed and Supply. This makes you sound like the first choice locally
and will help target your local area.
If you are going to be dealing with the big companies
you may want to consider a more corporate sounding name. Think of a word to
describe your business then add the word "Consulting".
If you're going for a trendier market you might want
a less formal name. You may want to name your business after an animal,
and use that animal in your logo too. If you don't have a big marketing budget,
this is a good way to get started branding your business. For example take
Geico. They use that gecko lizard on everything. What do you remember when you
think of car insurance?
Try a short name. Take two or three
words that describe your business then shorten them to make it one word. So you
end up with IHOP (International House of Pancakes) this is a great way to
express what you do without having long hard to remember name.
And when nothing else seems to fit make up a name.
Just play with your words until you come up with a name that sounds right and
the best part is it will be completely unique to your business.
Whatever you do make sure your business name
is easy to pronounce, spell and remember
Once you have a few names picked out make sure you
check to make sure no one else is using them. You don't want to get your
business started then find out that the name you want is taken.

I'm always on the Internet, looking for
informative articles! I found one that I think you'll really
like.
Getting advice when you start a home business, it
can be easy to get confused. Chances are you don't know anyone else that has
started a home business so where do you go for help.
First go online. The Internet is a great resource
for people who have a home business. You can find articles and newsletters with
information and advice. There are also many message boards, forums and blogs
where you can read, ask questions and get advice from other home business
owners.
Go to your local library. Talk to the librarian.
Libraries contain all sorts of home business books and resources. Your librarian
should be more than happy to help you do research.
Find a Mentor. They
are usually volunteers who have had great business success and will be glad to
help start up new businesses. They often have years of experience and can be
really helpful.
The SBA. The Small Business Administration provides
a multitude of material on starting your own business. Visit http://www.sba.gov
Depending on where you live, you might find local
government agencies that will give you free help and advice. Check your listings
for small business center in your area.
Your bank should have been the first place you went
if you were thinking of starting a business. While they're no replacement for
accountants, most banks will have a business advisor on staff to help you open a
business account. They can be especially helpful with the technical and
financial elements of starting your business.
Lawyers know all about starting a new business. It
can be well worth paying for an hour of a lawyers time and just asking them
every question you can think of. Look around you may even be able to get a free
consultation.
Accountants also know all about business and can be
less expensive alternative to lawyers. If you want your business to be
profitable you should take the advice your accountant gives you and if you don't
have one, you should get one.
Look for investors. There are people who back
businesses for a living. If you think your business would be attractive to
investors then you can try going to an investor with your idea. If they like it,
they will often have a quick process set up to get your company up and running

The young boy and the young girl say, "Someday when
I get out of school, move away from home, and start college, I'm really going to
have fun. I'll be happy and life will be great."

#1. In many states the highway patrol carries
two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from
the highway after a car accident.
#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke
and it will be gone in two days.
#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the
toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour,
then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes
stains from vitreous china.
#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
#5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour
a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble
away the corrosion.
#6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola
to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
#7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into
the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the
drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.
#8... To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke
into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run
through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen
grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your

cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

It seems obvious and yet it's a powerful truth that's all too often overlooked. To stay focused you need something on which to focus -- something specific, something clear and well defined.
Are you having trouble staying focused? Then perhaps you need to more clearly define the object of your focus. As an example, let's say you're attempting to focus on making more money.
The vague goal of "making more money" is not clear enough nor definitive enough. Exactly how much more money do you intend to earn? Precisely how do you intend to earn it? What will you do with it when you get it, and why is that important to you? Questions such as these will provide you with a clear and specific object on which to focus.
Focus is impossible without a focal point. Just the act itself of clearly and specifically defining that focal point will serve to lock your mind and your energy into focus. And when the object of your focus is well defined, you can quickly get back on track if your focus should happen to stray.
Know, understand, and appreciate precisely where you desire to be focused. The more clearly you can define the object of your focus, the more intently and effectively you can focus upon it. Decide exactly what you intend to do, and almost as if by magic you'll find yourself actually getting it done.

A Few Minutes
There are good and valuable things you know you could be doing but you're not. There is a way of life you know you could be experiencing but you're not. This moment, as you read these words, is your opportunity to change all that. As you consider how truly special and precious your life is, this moment is when you can begin to fulfill your most treasured and valuable possibilities.
Set aside just fifteen minutes and then spend that fifteen minutes getting started on whatever you've been putting off. It's easy to find just fifteen minutes, especially when you'll be using it for something positive, productive and fulfilling.
Set a small, easily obtainable fifteen-minute goal, and then make the effort necessary to reach it. Then when you've reached it, delight in the feeling of accomplishment, delight in knowing that you're actually moving forward with something you've been meaning to do for a long time.
After that, find another fifteen minutes and continue the process. Get yourself addicted to accomplishment and to the fulfillment which comes from moving steadily toward those things you truly value.
Today is a perfect day to start living life on purpose, with purpose and with passion. Give just fifteen minutes to the best of your possibilities and let it be the start of something great.

Regret
Regret would be a wonderful thing if it came earlier. If you could feel the bitter sting of regret before making the choices that would cause that regret, you'd be powerfully persuaded to make better choices.
The biggest regrets usually result from missed opportunities. Feeling those particular regrets early would encourage you to make the most of your possibilities.
Yet in the real world, regret is experienced only after it's too late to avoid. Even so, there is something you can do to make regret a positive and powerful influence in your life.
You can use your mind to imagine regret in advance. By doing so, you can benefit from regret's lessons without suffering from its pain.
Before taking action, or before passing up an opportunity, travel in your mind into the future. Find the choice that would cause no regret, and then make that choice.

Create the Sense of Urgency
Most things that end up being urgent didn't start out that way. Most urgent matters, had they been addressed when they first came up, would not have to be rushed.
Putting off a difficult task until later only makes it more difficult. To truly make your life easier, go ahead and take care of the hard stuff as early as you can.
When you put off something that needs to be done, you don't get rid of it. You merely make it more burdensome than it otherwise would have been.

Right Choice

Focus
It seems obvious and yet it's a powerful truth that's all too often overlooked. To stay focused you need something on which to
focus -- something specific, something clear and well defined.
Are you having trouble staying focused? Then perhaps you need to more clearly define the object of your focus. As an example,
let's say you're attempting to focus on making more money.
The vague goal of "making more money" is not clear enough nor definitive enough. Exactly how much more money do you intend
to earn? Precisely how do you intend to earn it? What will you do with it when you get it, and why is that important to you?
Questions such as these will provide you with a clear and specific object on which to focus.
Focus is impossible without a focal point. Just the act itself of clearly and specifically defining that focal point will serve to lock your
mind and your energy into focus. And when the object of your focus is well defined, you can quickly get back on track if your focus
should happen to stray.
Know, understand, and appreciate precisely where you desire to be focused. The more clearly you can define the object of your
focus, the more intently and effectively you can focus upon it. Decide exactly what you intend to do, and almost as if by magic

Starting
Regardless of how far behind you may be, you always can choose to move forward. Though people and events and circumstances may conspire against you, you can decide to move ahead anyway. It's perfectly okay to be where you are. Because from where you are, you can move steadily to wherever you desire to be. Sure, it's probably not the ideal situation, and yet it is a starting point. It's the starting point you have, and one from which you most certainly can move forward.

Uncertainty
Though in some ways it might be nice to know with absolute certainty what will happen tomorrow, in many ways it is good not to know. For uncertainty compels us to develop courage, creativity, flexibility, commitment and initiative.
If we knew in advance exactly how our lives would unfold, it would surely drain all the joy from the experience. The strengths and qualities we develop, and the experiences we gain as a result of uncertainty bring a richness to life that cannot be equaled.
Though there are many uncertainties in life, there are also things of which you can be certain, things such as your family, your faith, your truest friends, your highest values. And those certainties indeed become strengthened to the degree that everything else is so uncertain.
Though it can be frightening, uncomfortable, and even painful, the uncertainty in this world and in this life is also a blessing. Strong Desire
If the things you desire are only for yourself, then what you accomplish will be empty and unfulfilling. Desire turned inward is nothing but greed, and will bring you nothing worth having.
The greediest people are not those who desire too much. The greediest people are those who desire too little, who desire only for their own narrow, limited concerns. The more outwardly your desires are focused, the more fulfilling will the fruits of those desires be. What you desire for the world beyond you, for all of life itself, will bring the most lasting, fulfilling rewards.
The person who solves his own small problems will receive some real value from his efforts. Yet when that person can make the same innovation available to others, the value that can be created is virtually unlimited.

Control
Often it will occur that one part of you desires something that another, more enlightened part of you knows is not right for you. When this happens, it is helpful to remember that neither of those conflicting urges defines you.
The mere fact that you're able to see the conflict within yourself means that you are also able to rise above that conflict. The fact that you're able to perceive what you're thinking and feeling means that the real you is beyond those thoughts and feelings.
When you are longingly tempted to overindulge, or to become angry or resentful or hurtful, and yet you know it is not right for you, remember that you can take a step back. Step back to a place where you can look objectively and lovingly at the conflict within you.
Being in such a vantage point, you can let yourself fully experience the desire without allowing that desire to take control of you. You can let that desire out in the open where it harmlessly burns itself out, and then be done with it and free to follow the course you know is right.
Inner conflict can be difficult to resolve when you're stuck in the middle of it. Worry
How many things do you worry about, that don't really matter at all? Imagine the positive energy boost if you could simply let them go. Most of the things that annoy you do so only because you have chosen to be annoyed. Think of how life would be if you spent less time annoyed and more time truly living.
When something comes along that troubles you, ask yourself if it really matters. You'll discover that many things really don't.
When something pops up to worry you, ask yourself if your worrying will make it better. Chances are, with most things, it won't.
Most worries and annoyances are completely worthless, and only serve to bring you down. Is that really what you want?
Practice diverting more of your time and energy to positive, useful, productive pursuits. Take a situation that was unpleasant, unhealthy, dangerous or destructive, then turn it around, and you know you've really made a difference. Take a goal, a dream, a passion, then bring it to life, and that effort will in turn bring you to life.
The next few moments, the next few days, the next few years can be spent just getting by, just keeping up. Or they can be used to get things done, to make a positive difference, to reach real and meaningful accomplishment.

Lessions

The lessons are usually not all that obvious. Yet they are there if you will think to take a look. The lessons are there in every moment, in every dilemma, in every frustration and every joy. They are there in every sadness, every victory, every discomfort and every pleasure.

Small challenges become big problems
The big challenges get your attention. By virtue of their seriousness, they demand to be addressed. In fact, big serious challenges can be quite energizing and stimulating. They're often referred to as "wake- up calls." The smaller challenges, though, don't get as much respect or response. They're the ones we tend to let slide.
The problem with that is that they accumulate. Those small challenges, never dealt with, can soon combine into a substantial burden. You keep piling stuff in the closet, just a little something every few days, and suddenly there's no space left.
You keep putting off doing your expense report, day after day, and suddenly find that you have a whole quarter or year's worth to go through. The little challenges, though they're easy to forget about, can quickly add up and eventually hold you back in a big way. So make a point to deal with them as they come up, while they're still small and manageable. Not only will you become more disciplined and effective, you'll free yourself from their cumulative burden and be able to focus on the truly important things in your life. Value
When you attempt to get ahead at the expense of others, you'll be resisted every step of the way. Yet when you seek to get ahead
by creating value for others, the world will happily push you forward. Rise above the crowd and then genuinely seek ways to bring
the crowd along. It's a much more effective strategy than looking for ways to push everyone else down. There's only so much you
can possibly take away from others, yet there is no limit to what you can create for yourself and the world around you.
Those who win big can't do it by creating losers. In fact, those who win big do it by creating other winners. Those who win big do it
not by fighting over what's already there, but by creating something that has never existed before.
Losers look for ways to get away with stealing value from others. Winners know that the way to true abundance is to create as
much value as possible for as many other people as possible. You can do it too, right now. It happens every day, and the whole

Get it done!

Rather than constructing elaborate methods for avoiding these things, or elaborate excuses to evade them, just get them done. Instead of letting things slip and continue to weight you down, get them done and let your actions energize you. The avoidance of effort is just as difficult as effort itself yet avoidance accomplishes nothing positive.
Success is not always easy, yet it is for the most part simple. The way to accomplishment is not hidden. It is in plain view. You can see what must be done. Stop fretting. Quit worrying. Plan
Do you know what's going to happen tomorrow? Of course you cannot know for sure, yet with careful planning you'll have a much
better idea. Do you ever find yourself wondering what to do next? With a good plan you'll spend less time wondering and more
time doing.
Have you ever made a trip to the store, forgotten to buy a certain item, and then had to go right back again? What if you lived 100
miles away from the nearest store? If that was the case, every time you traveled to the store you would carefully plan what to get, to
avoid the need for an unnecessary trip. If you did forget something important, however, it would be possible to go back again. But it
would be a lot of trouble, so you would learn to plan each trip very carefully.
With that in mind, consider that you only have one chance to live each day. There's no way you can go back and live it again. So
planning for it is even more important than planning a 200-mile round trip to the store. When you plan each day, and follow your plan, there's so much more you can get done. Courage
There is risk in any undertaking, and it is wise to minimize risk whenever possible. Yet to avoid risk completely is the greatest risk of all. When you move forward, there is always the possibility of defeat. Yet if you never move forward at all, then defeat is certain.
There will always be plenty of excuses for standing still, for not taking action. But excuses offer no comfort or refuge when viewed in the unrelenting light of reality. What matters is what is done, what is undertaken and what is achieved.
Courage is not the absence of fear. Those with the most courage also know the greatest fear. Courage is the determination to act in the face of fear, the ability to learn from fear, to be energized by fear, and to use that knowledge and that energy to move successfully through the fear.
Action does not assure success, and yet directed, focused action is the only way to achieve success. We live and grow and prosper and find fulfillment because of the risks we have taken, because of the challenges we have accepted, because of the fears we have transcended.
Life is a process of successfully dealing with uncertainty. Our bodies are designed for it, our minds are made for it, and our spirits are energized by the challenges of moving positively ahead, whatever the risks may be. Confident
How is it possible to move confidently toward the future after experiencing a disappointing setback? By learning from that disappointment, and knowing that you can adjust your approach accordingly. If confidence resulted only from success, no one would ever have the confidence to reach success in the first place. In all confidence there is necessarily an element of faith.
Certainly past successes can add to your confidence, but past disappointments do not have to erode that confidence. Because you have the wonderful ability to improve with each effort. You can make adjustments and apply the lessons you've learned through experience. Those valuable lessons are yours to use in a positive way no matter what has happened before.
The powerful fact is that every experience can add to your confidence. The cheers and the sneers, the compliments and the complaints, the wins and the losses can all build confidence.

Expect
What are you doing when you're not thinking about what you're doing? You're busy fulfilling the most sincere expectations you
have for yourself. That's why your expectations are so important. They take control during the times when you lose yourself in
whatever you're doing, and thus they exert a powerful influence.
When you truly expect something, it's like programming your mind to seek it out every chance it gets. Expectations have a way of
becoming reality even in the moments when you're not aware that you're making them happen.
Your genuine expectations of others work in a similar fashion. The expectations you have for someone else are communicated to
that person in a way that can easily override whatever you do or say on a conscious level.
Real, ingrained expectations go beyond intentions, beyond pronouncements, beyond the surface, to a level that is deep and
undeniable. Whatever you truly expect to happen, is very likely going to happen.
So expect the very best, of yourself and of others, with sincerity, conviction and persistence. Almost as if by magic, it will come to

Proper aim!
Take a look around you, right this moment, and you'll see the results of your past priorities. Whatever has been most important to you, whatever has been the focus of your time and commitment, has come to pass.
If you're satisfied and fulfilled by where you are, you know what it took to get there and you can continue cheerfully along the same path. If you're not completely pleased with the results of your past priorities, the first thing to do is change those priorities.
Every moment of every day you are committed to something. When enough of those moments are focused on a particular priority, on a particular possibility, that possibility will come to life.
Look at the possibilities that you've already brought to reality as the result of your focus and commitment. Whether you like the results or not, the fact is that you've definitely achieved results.
The question now is, what results would you like to achieve next? Aim your focus, aim your commitment, aim your priorities, aim the efforts of each moment in the direction of those results, and they will most certainly happen. Persistence
When you've attempted something and failed to achieve it, then made another attempt and failed yet again, and then failed even one more time, it can indeed be overwhelmingly disheartening. It is at that point, however, where persistence can be truly golden.
Because each disappointment you experience not only brings you more knowledge of what works and what doesn't, it also serves as a powerful reminder of why you truly desire to succeed. It would be a shame to waste all that motivation and knowledge. So keep going. Persist in what you know you must accomplish. Experience the power of your disappointment, direct it toward persistence, and you'll make it a force that will move you along.
The time and effort you've invested have already begun to pay off, even though the results have so far been disappointing. You certainly don't want to walk away from that investment before you're able to reap its rewards. Persist. Keep up the effort for as long as it takes.
